CANDLE CRAFTING + DIY BODY SCRUB WORKSHOP

Join us at The Neighborhood Hive for an evening of Candle crafting and DIY Body Scrubs. Each student will be guided through making 2x 4oz soy wax candles, followed by sugar and coffee scrubs using local ingredients and dried botanicals. Leave the event with 4 handcrafted products to use for your next self care evening.

DESCRIPTION:

Join Jennifer Williamson, Owner of Olio Skin Care and Products, as she teaches you how to assemble, scent and pour two 4oz candles.  This workshop will include an organic cotton wick, soy wax and a choice of high quality fragrances and essential oils for you to use. Get ready to learn tips on the best ways to maintain your candles, what the term "throw" refers to and why soy wax is the best.

Following the Candle making segment, Herbalist Kora Goodman will guide you through handcrafting two body scrub products using local ingredients and customizing scent blends. Choose from sugar or coffee as your scrub base as you learn about ratios and topically beneficial herbs for skincare.
